Suggestions

Light

Plants need light because it is essential for photosynthesis. Make sure the plant wall gets enough light. If there is not enough daylight, our VLEDs offer the right lighting support. link: LED plant light

Air

A real plant wall can positively impact any nearby climate. To do this, the plants must be able to grow in the Vivit system (soil simulation like in nature) in a room with enough air exchange. Example, for a Vivit Set Classic, the floor area would have to be at least 12 m2.

Water

The included Vivit vessel functions as a circulating water reservoir. The watering intervals can even be increased in rooms with low humidity in order to have more influence on the room climate.

Electricity

For the compact, automatic irrigation control from Vivit, a socket should be nearby. The Vivit system uses very little power, we recommend keeping it plugged in.

USPs – Climatic influences

Vivit Vertical Gardens products actively offer functional and sustainable technology for plant walls and green facades. Vivit vertical greening has a controllable and measurable influence on the microclimate. Up to 72 plants can be used per square meter. The unique design of the Vivit vegetation areas, together with our products, have a positive effect on the surrounding climate. The resulting unique selling points are the breakdown of CO2 as well as organic and inorganic substances, oxygen production, natural air humidification, evaporative cooling and the high degree of sound absorption.

Sound absorption

Vivit systems and the plants in them are extremely good sound inhibitors. Thanks to their shape and physiology, plants generally have a very good level of sound absorption (α 0.9-0.99). The Vivit vegetation areas absorb airborne and structure-borne noise very well even when unplanted. This creates quieter working conditions in offices or more silence in private and public spaces. Outdoors, plant walls and green facades are ideal for reducing traffic noise or for more acoustic privacy.
